Diving World Championship Artem Siltchenko told that he received a good emotional charge from performing on the World Cliff Diving Series stage in Paris, but so far there is a lack of competitive practice.
The best of the Russians at this start was Nikita Fedotov – seventh (380.55), Silchenko – 12th (323.75). Romanian Catalin Preda won (470.50), second was Frenchman Gary Hunt (438.05), third was another representative of Romania, Konstantin Popovichi (432.90).
– The competition went well. Well done Nikita, I felt confident going into the first start of the season – six months without training, it’s hard to put it all together in one day. The lack of practice is very noticeable – how are athletes without training? And the emotional charge was just amazing,” Silchenko told .
How did you jump into the Seine? If we talk about French scenes, is it better in La Rochelle?
– It was wonderful to jump into the Seine, the water is soft, flowing. In the shower afterwards, the main thing is to go there, and that’s good. We played in Paris for the first time. It was cold in La Rochelle, but here in Paris the weather was simply magnificent.
