Ukrainian youth team will play with the French in the 1/4 finals of Euro 2023
Head coach youth team of Ukraine Ruslan Rotan commented on the upcoming match against the French team in the quarterfinals of the European Championship. According to him, the blue-yellows will play against a very strong opponent.
“The French team is one of the strongest teams we face in this tournament. There are players, almost all of them playing in the top championships. This already says a lot. Individually, they are very strong, we ourselves saw this in the selection, when we played two games with them. Tomorrow, the game is very important for us, which will take place in tête-à-tête components, when you need to win micro-duels that will occur on the football field.”
“I mean the game one-on-one, at close distances, where the players of the French national team have high skill. But we must be ready, to be a disciplined, compact team, despite this, to respond with our level of play, from which we are not going to deviate. Let the opponent adjust to us.”

On Friday evening, the delegation of the youth team of Ukraine moved from Bucharest to Cluj-Napoca, where the match with France will take place. The fight will take place on July 2, starting at 22:00 Kyiv time.
The winner of the France-Ukraine pair in the 1/2 finals will play with the best in the confrontation Spain-Switzerland. The semi-final match will take place on July 5 in Bucharest.
The 2023 European Championship final is scheduled for July 8 in Batumi. Recall that the three best teams of the tournament, except for France and England, will receive tickets to the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
