In the finals of the weight category up to 80 kg, the Ukrainian Alexander Khizhnyak and the Croat Gabriel Veochich met.
To determine the winner of this fight, the fighters do not have to spend all three rounds.

Already in the middle of the second round, the match was completed ahead of schedule – Khizhnyak won a decisive victory over Veochic and became the champion of the European Games 2023.
