Winger agrees to pay cut
Roma and winger Stefan El Shaarawy agreed to extend the contract. The 30-year-old’s previous deal expired on June 30th.
According to information Italian media, El Shaarawy has signed a new 2-year deal with Roma until the end of June 2025. The winger also agreed to a pay cut.
El Shaarawy scored nine goals and provided four assists in 42 appearances for Roma in all competitions last season. In total, Stefan has more than 230 fights for Wolves.
In the summer, Roma extended the contracts of center back Chris Smalling, midfielder Brian Cristante and forward Andrea Belotti. The Wolves also signed defender Evan Ndik and midfielder Houssem Aouar.
Roma finished in sixth place in the Italian Championship standings. Also, the team of Jose Mourinho reached the final of the Europa League, where they lost to Sevilla.
