Ukrainians won 41 medals in Poland
Team of Ukraine completed European Games 2023 in third place in overall medal standings. In the assets of blue-yellow 41 medals – 21 gold, 12 silver and 8 bronze.
Ukrainian athletes won medals in 14 out of 29 sports represented at the tournament in Poland. In four sports (Thai boxing, karate, diving, kayaking and canoeing) Ukraine won medals.
The most productive sports for Ukraine were athletics and Thai boxing – six awards each.
At the 2019 European Games in Minsk, Ukraine also finished third in the medal standings, earning 52 medals. In 2015, in Baku, Ukrainians won 46 medals and took eighth place.
The overall medal standings of the European Games 2023 was won by the Italian team, which has 100 medals, of which 35 are gold. Spain is in second place.
