Wilder: Usyk was offered a lot of money to fight me

The American claims that the Ukrainian is afraid to fight him

Former World Heavyweight Champion Deontay Wilder declared that the reigning WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk several times they offered to fight him, but the Ukrainian refused.

I don’t think Usyk really cares about the next opponent. As long as he doesn’t have to fight me. I don’t think he cares as long as he doesn’t have to fight me, it’s fine. This man is afraid of me.”

“He evaded me so many times, and I know. I know a lot of shit. I’m in business, I know. He was offered big money many times to fight me. But he refused. He doesn’t want to have problems fighting me,” Wilder said.

Deontay defeated Finn Robert Helenius by knockout in the first round in his last fight in October. The American can hold his next fight against Andy Ruiz.

We will remind, Usyk in the next fight will meet with Daniel Dubois. The duel should take place on August 26 in Wroclaw, Poland. The Ukrainian will receive 75% of the total prize fund – $6 million. The Briton can count on 25% – 2 million.
