The Presidium of the VFLA approved the Russian records for the 10 km run by Vladimir Nikitin and Elena Korobkina

The Presidium of the All-Russian Athletics Federation (VFLA) has approved the Russian records for the 10 km between men and women.

Vladimir Nikitin became the first Russian champion at a distance of 10 km. In September 2022, during the race as part of the Moscow Marathon, Nikitin showed a time of 28 minutes 11 seconds. Nikitin surpassed the original record standard of 28 minutes 20 seconds.

Women’s half-marathon “Northern Capital” in St. Petersburg Elena Korobkina showed a time of 31 minutes 26 seconds, her result surpassed Lyudmila Biktasheva’s record, set in 2008 (32:04).
