Matches of Elina Svitolina, Lesya Tsurenko and Marta Kostyuk in the second round are also scheduled for Thursday

Duel of the first racket of Ukraine Angelina Kalinina with Jessica Bousas Maneiro of Spain in the first round Wimbledon 2023 moved again.

Recall that according to the plan, the Ukrainian match was supposed to be played on Tuesday, but it was postponed due to rain in London. On Wednesday, too, not all players had time to play their scheduled matches, among them Angelina’s match.

The fights of the second round with the participation of Ukrainians are also scheduled for Thursday. Elina Svitolina will play with Eliza Mertens from Belgium, Lesya Tsurenko – with Katerina Sinyakova from the Czech Republic, and Marta Kostyuk – with Paula Badosa from Spain.

Recall that Elina in the first match beat the five-time Wimbledon champion Venus Williams, and Lesya defeated another American Claire Liu. Marta in her opening bout snatched a strong-willed victory over the eighth racket of the world, Maria Sakkari from Greece.
