An honorary member of the International Skating Union (ISU), former ISU board member German Panov told that the organization’s management did not discuss the history of the doping test of the Olympic figure skating champion. Adelina Sotnikova .

Sotnikova earlier in an interview with YouTube channel Tatarka FM told about a positive doping test in 2014, and also noted that her “B” test then came back negative.

— It was certainly not considered at some official meetings. It wouldn’t have gone through the ISU leadership, as you understand. So we can say that if there was a problem with the ‘A’ doping test, then for sure all questions to the athlete were removed after the ‘B’ sample, as she says. Otherwise, it would definitely have become a talking point,” Panov told .

Sotnikova at the 2014 Olympics in Sochi won gold in the individual tournament.
