PSG President Al-Khelaifi: Mbappe must sign a new contract or leave this summer

The leadership of the Parisians does not intend to release the striker for free

The president PSG Nasser Al-Khelaifi categorically rejected the option of leaving the striker Kyliana Mbappe next summer as a free agent.

“We want him to stay, but he can’t leave for free. It was our verbal agreement, and he publicly expressed it in an interview. So it’s non-negotiable. And I was really shocked to learn that he intended to leave. It’s very disappointing, because Kylian is a fantastic boy, a real gentleman, and leaving for free, weakening the biggest French club, is not about him.

“That’s why he has to make a decision next week, or two weeks at the most. And if Mbappe doesn’t want to sign a new contract, the door is open. This applies to him and any other player. No one can be higher than the club, not the player, not even me. It’s very clear.”

Earlier it was reported that Real Madrid is ready to arrange the transfer of the striker. For Creamy, Kilian is the main transfer target. At the same time, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez said that the club would sign the player, but not in 2023.

Mbappe denied all rumors about leaving the team, the player is going to start next season at PSG.

Kylian made 43 appearances for PSG in all competitions of the season. The striker has 41 goals and 10 assists. Mbappe was named the best player in Ligue 1 for the fourth time in a row.
