Ukrainian women’s volleyball team won the team Sweden in the first match of the final Golden Euroleague-2023.
In the first set, the Ukrainians left no chance for their opponents – 25:15. In the second and third games, Ukraine was also stronger, finishing the sets better — 25:20 and 25:19.
The second leg of the confrontation between Ukraine and Sweden will take place on Sunday, July 9. The beginning is at 17:00 Kyiv time.
The women’s team of Ukraine plays in the finals of the Golden Euroleague for the second time in history. In 2017, the Ukrainians became the winners of the tournament, beating Finland.
Thanks to reaching the finals of the Golden Euroleague, the Ukrainian women’s team received a ticket to the Candidates Cup for the right to play in the League of Nations.
Earlier, the Ukrainian men’s team lost to Turkey in the Euroleague Golden 2023 final in five sets.
