Five-time synchronized swimming world champion Darina Valitova revealed that she considered her former duet partner Alexandra Maltseva a strong person.
Valitova was the first Russian woman in the mixed pair discipline to become world champion. His partner was Maltsev.
– At the age of seven, the only switched to synchronized swimming. Follow your soul. There was incredible hatred around, and he went for his dream,” Valitova said in an interview with YouTube channel Peretrem.
She described Maltsev in an interview as “strong, hardworking, charismatic”.
Valitova also spoke about injuries and knowing national team head coach Tatyana Pokrovskaya.
