Blue-yellows have not lost a single match in the quartet
Ukrainian men’s beach soccer team beat the team Lithuania in the match of the third round of the group stage of the qualifying tournament for World Cup 2024 – 4:1.
In the first period, the blue-yellows scored twice thanks to the efforts of Andrey Pashko and Yaroslav Zavorotny. Lithuania responded with a goal from Paulus Giedraitis.
In the second segment of the game, Oleg Zborovsky and Andrey Borsuk brought the score to a devastating one. In the third period, the teams did not score goals.
This is the third victory of the Ukrainian national team in group B. Earlier, the wards of Mykola Kostenko and Oleksandr Korniychuk defeated Spain (4:3 OT) and beat Poland (3:2).
Ukraine took first place in Group B with 8 points and will play in the 2024 World Cup qualifying playoffs. The rival of the blue-yellows in the 1/4 finals will be determined later.
The European selection for the 2024 World Cup is being held in Baku and will end on July 9. The top two teams from each of the four groups will advance to the quarterfinals. The semi-finalists will receive direct tickets to the World Championship, which will be held from 15 to 25 February 2024 in the UAE.
