Former first racket of Ukraine Elina Svitolina advanced to the fourth round Wimbledon 2023.
In the 1/16 finals, Svitolina defeated an American in two sets Sofia Kenin. Tennis players spent an hour and a half on the court.
In the first set, Elina beat Kenin in a tie-break – 7:3. In the second game, the Ukrainian made two breaks and won 6:2.
For the entire fight, Elina made six aces and made two double faults.
Svitolina made it to the fourth round of Wimbledon for the third time in her career. In the 1/8 finals, Elina will play against the 19th seed Victoria Azarenka. The match is scheduled for July 9th.
Lesya Tsurenko will also play in the 1/8 finals of Wimbledon 2023. The next opponent of the Ukrainian is Jessica Pegula.
