Athletistic/Gymnastics. At the Pan Arab Games in Algiers, Russian gymnast Alexandra Maksimova, who recently changed her sporting nationality and now represents Syria, won the individual all-around competition.
With a score of 49.233 in four exercises, the 16-year-old took first place. Second place went to Fatma Boukhatem (45.700) of Algeria, and her compatriot Lahna Salem (44.733) won the bronze medal.
Maksimova became the first Syrian gymnast. She will be able to play for her new country until May 2025.
