Anthony’s rematch with Dillian will take place on August 12 in London
Promoter Eddie Hearn commented on the upcoming rematch between the former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua And Dillian Whyte.
“When you look at AJ’s resume, I don’t see criticism. He’s always been in big fights and he’s the reason for those fights. He’s going to get rich fighting Deontay Wilder, but he wants to risk everything fighting Dillian Whyte because he loves the thrill, he loves the thrill.
“Even Oleksandr Usyk will fight Daniel Dubois before he can possibly fight Tyson Fury. So I think you have a couple of good heavyweight fights. We’re on Anthony Joshua’s case, he’s going to have a huge fight on August 12th and if he wins he’s going to have Deontay Wilder – what a six months it’s going to be for him.”
The rematch between Joshua and White will take place on August 12 at the O2 Arena in London. The fight will be broadcast via PPV system by DAZN. Previously, the parties agreed to remove from the contract a clause about another fight in the event of Joshua’s defeat.
Joshua faced White in 2015 for the WBC International belt and British titles. Anthony won by TKO in the seventh round.
In the last fight, White defeated American Jermain Franklin by decision. Joshua also defeated Franklin in March, the fight lasted all 12 rounds.
