Former Blues captain sacked from Leicester in April
Former defender, now football coach John Terry returned to Chelsea. The specialist will work at the London Club Academy.
Terry was previously part of the Chelsea youth coaching staff. The 42-year-old also worked as an assistant coach at Aston Villa and Leicester. Terry left the Foxes along with the Brendan Rodgers coaching staff in April.
Terry played in the Chelsea structure from 1997 to 2017, starting with the youth teams. The captain of the Blues, together with the club, won the Champions League, the Europa League, became the champion of England five times and won other trophies.
Chelsea finished twelfth in the last edition of the English Premier League. Mauricio Pochettino will be the head coach of Mikhail Mudrik’s team in the new season.
