Russian national synchronized swimming team coach Pokrovskaya reacted to admission to Asian Games in neutral status

Head Coach of the Russian National Synchronized Swimming Team Tatiana Pokrovskaya told that she considered the news regarding Asian Games admission to be good, but the neutral status and restrictions required a separate discussion.

On Saturday, it was learned that the General Assembly of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) had voted for the admission of Russian and Belarusian athletes to participate in the 2023 Asian Summer Games in a neutral status and outside the count of medals. The total number of athletes must not exceed 500 people.

– Admission in neutral status, but possibility to participate – how do you perceive it?

– If our leadership allows us, then, of course, we will consider this possibility.

– What if only a duo was allowed, without a group?

– This is another issue that needs to be discussed. But the admission itself is usually good news, Pokrovskaya told .
