Athletistic/ Others. Dmitry Svishchev, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Physical Culture and Sports, reacted to Russia being allowed to participate in the 2023 Asian Summer Games.
“The Asian Games are a great chance for our athletes to demonstrate their high level of training. We hope that soon the IOC will take more adequate measures for Russian athletes,” Sport24 Svishchev quotes.
Russian athletes will compete in a neutral status and will not be eligible for competition medals.
The Asian Summer Games will be held in Hangzhou (China) from September 23 to October 8.
