The Briton is ready to fight the Ukrainian champion
WBA Regular heavyweight title holder Daniel Dubois spoke about preparing for the fight with the WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO world champion Oleksandr Usyk.
“First of all, my knee is fine. We’ve got it all figured out. I work in a training camp, I run, everything is going well, ”Dubois said.
“I am grateful for this opportunity and ready to grab it with both hands. I have been going to this for a long time and I am ready to fight. Usyk is a great champion, but everything has a beginning and an end. I’m ready”.
Usyk vs Dubois is officially announced for August 26. The event will take place in Wroclaw, Poland, at the Tarczynski Arena. The Ukrainian will receive 75% of the total prize fund – $6 million. The Briton can count on 25% – 2 million.
Alexander in his last fight again defeated Briton Anthony Joshua, defending his belts.
Dubois defeated Kevin Lerena by TKO in December and retained the status of the mandatory contender for the WBA belt, owned by the Ukrainian. In that fight, Daniel suffered a knee injury.
