“I don’t feel any abyss or feeling that I don’t have an opportunity,” swimmer Prigoda answered when asked about motivation

Swimmer Kirill Prigoda spoke about the motivation in the absence of international competitions, and also answered the question about the participation in the Asian Games in China in case of admission.

On Saturday, it was learned that the General Assembly of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) had voted for the admission of Russian and Belarusian athletes to participate in the 2023 Asian Summer Games in a neutral status and outside the count of medals. The total number of athletes must not exceed 500 people.

We’re all sitting in the same boat, so of course we’ll go. We have few options. As for the motivation, my coach says that what distinguishes a true professional from a non-professional is that he does not care about the status of the competition and the titles played. A true professional always comes, works to the maximum, performs his tasks, analyzes and prepares for the next departure. I don’t feel any abyss or the feeling of having no opportunity. I’m always happy and enjoying my chance and my moment.

Our training schedule is still designed for six months, there is still a year to go before the Olympics, so we will be thinking about the Games closer to January,” Prigoda said on the Loud show on .

The 2023 Asian Games will be held in Hangzhou from September 23 to October 8.
