Figure skater Mikhail Kolyada urged fans not to attach great importance to the suspension of his career.

– As you already know, I took a break in my sports career. Friends, please don’t treat this like I’m dead. It’s okay, that’s just life, and life goes on! I know and I will always know that my fans are the best in the world!!! Thank you all for your support,” Kolyada wrote on his Telegram channel.

Kolyada won a silver medal at the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics in the team competition, he also won a bronze medal at the 2018 World Championships and two bronze medals at the European Championships in individual skating. In 2021 he won the World Team Championship, in 2017 he became the silver medalist of the tournament. The skater also won the Russian championship three times.
