Nerazzurri continue dialogue with Chelsea
Forward Romelu Lukaku intends to continue cooperation with Inter.
The Belgian spent last season at the Milan club on loan from Chelsea. It is reported that the Italians did not apply to Chelsea about a full-fledged transfer, but plan to extend the loan of the Belgian.
In turn, the Blues do not want to continue the loan and intend to get at least 40 million euros for the player. The parties plan to agree before July 17 – on this day Chelsea begins a pre-season tour of the United States.
Lukaku’s contract with the Blues runs until 2026. Previously, the striker turned down an offer to move to Al-Hilal. Juventus were also interested in the player’s services.
Lukaku made 37 appearances in all competitions for Inter last season, scoring 14 goals and providing seven assists.
Inter won bronze medals in the Italian championship, and also became the winner of the Italian Cup and the Italian Super Cup. Chelsea finished twelfth in the Premier League table.
