Shakhtar defender Marlon officially joined Fluminense on loan

The contract is valid until June 2024

Miner’s Defender Marlon officially moved to Fluminense.

The Brazilian club has issued a loan player until June 2024. Marlon moved thanks to the FIFA rule for legionnaires of Ukrainian clubs. In the Brazilian team, the defender will play at number 4. Note that Marlon previously played in Fluminense at the beginning of his career.

The Brazilian joined the Pitmen in the summer of 2021. For his transfer from Sassuolo, the Donetsk club paid 12 million euros. The defender played 22 matches for Shakhtar in all competitions and won the Ukrainian Super Cup with the team.

Marlon played on loan for Monza last season. He has 28 matches to his credit. Panathinaikos was also interested in the services of a defender.

Fluminense is in fourth place in the Brazilian Serie A after 14 matches played. In the next match, Marlon’s team will host Flamengo.
