Ukrainian is preparing for competitions in Duisburg
Ukrainian canoeist Ludmila Luzan shared her expectations from the performance at the World Championships in canoeing and kayaking, which will be held in Duisburg, Germany in August.
“Of course, this is the most important competition of the season. Ticket to the Olympic Games, which I’m going to. We will compete at a distance of 500 meters with Valeria Tereta. And also the 200m singles. And there, and there I will fight for licenses. I do not like to promise anything ahead. I will do my best to show what I can with the result.”
“No one expected, but we performed quite well at the European Games. This gives a big impetus to work even harder, so that at the World Championships, God forbid, to perform even better.
Impressions from the European Games-2023? Very inspired, of course. I have never experienced this in any competition. Certainly, [только] at the Olympics, these are very similar competitions to the Olympic Games. And the team is amazing, this spirit: everyone supports each other, rejoices at victories, sets them up. And this gives even more strength and motivation to win. I felt it myself,” said Luzan.
Recall that Lyudmila won three medals in rowing at competitions in Krakow. Luzan won gold in the 500m singles canoe and also in the 500m canoe doubles with Valeria Tereta. Lyudmila also won silver in the canoe single at a distance of 200 meters.
Luzan was also recognized as the best athlete of Ukraine in June.
