Romanchuk joined the Ukrainian national swimming team for the 2023 FINA World Championships

The world championship will be held in Japan from 14 to 30 July

Ingredients are known Ukrainian national swimming teamwho will take part in World Cup 2023 in water sports.

The blue-yellow squad included six athletes. Among them is Mikhail Romanchuk, two-time winner of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

Members of the Ukrainian national swimming team:
  • Andrey Govorov (50 meters, free style; 50 meters, butterfly);
  • Vladislav Bukhov (50 meters free style; 100 meters free style);
  • Maxim Ovchinnikov (50m breaststroke; 100m breaststroke; 200m breaststroke);
  • Denis Kesil (100m butterfly; 200m butterfly);
  • Mikhail Romanchuk (800 meters, free style; 1500 meters, free style; 5 km – open water);
  • Sergey Frolov (5 km – open water).

Earlier, the application of the Ukrainian team in the diving competition became known. Ukraine will be represented by seven athletes, including Oleksiy Sereda and Oleg Kolodiy.

In Japan, athletes will compete for 60 Olympic licenses for the 2024 Games in Paris. The world championship will be held in Fukuoka from 14 to 30 July.
