Ex-volleyball player Ilinykh’s disqualification period reduced to 15 months

According to the official FIVB website.

In February, Ilinykh was disqualified for two years. In the athlete’s sample, which was taken in 2013, a banned substance was found – methylhexanamine. Thus, the 36-year-old volleyball player should be selected for the gold of the 2013 European Championship and the 2013 Universiade.

Under the agreement, the Ilyins’ suspension period was reduced to 15 months.

– The player admitted to having committed an anti-doping rule violation… As a result, he was punished with a 15-month suspension, starting on August 26, 2022 and ending on November 25, 2023.

The agreement to resolve the case has been confirmed by the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
