Olympic champion Roman Kostomarov thanked the fans for their support after his illness, due to which he had to undergo several amputations.
Kostomarov was hospitalized in January, since then the 46-year-old figure skater has been under medical supervision and has suffered several amputations. On July 6, Kostomarov announced that he was discharged from hospital.
– Hello everyone. Thank you for your support and good wishes. It is very inspiring, it helps to fight and move forward,” Kostomarov wrote on his Telegram channel.
Kostomarov, paired with Tatyana Navka, won gold at the 2006 Olympic Games in Turin in ice dancing. In addition, the duo won twice at the world championships, three times at the European championships.
