Athletistic/Figure Skating. Irina Rodnina, a famous Soviet figure skater, shared her observations of Alexandra Trusova’s behavior during her stay at the Angela Plushenko Academy.
Trusova trained under Evgeni Plushenko between 2020 and 2021 before returning to Eteri Tutberidze’s squad.
“I also noticed that Sasha Trusova behaved, it seemed to me, rather rude at the Plushenko Academy. She behaved rudely. I asked Plushenko: “How so?” He replied: ” What, should I rehabilitate her? We’ll have a contest soon.”
What exactly was rude about Trusova’s behavior? “I want this, I want that.” In my opinion, it is a matter of discipline. And the discipline in training is then reflected in the discipline during the competition and in the crucial moments. The thin wire can break. Therefore, when all this hysteria happened (at the Beijing Olympics), it was not surprising to me,” Rodnina said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
Alexandra Trusova won the silver medal in women’s singles at the 2022 Olympics. She is currently training under Svetlana Sokolovskaya.
