Artur set a new best result of the season in Europe among athletes under 23
Ukrainian Arthur Felfner became the winner of the youth European Championships U-23 in Athletics in Finnish Espoo.
Felfner took first place in javelin throwsetting a new best result of the season in Europe among athletes under 23 years old – 83.04 m.
The silver of the continental championship was won by Finn Topias Laine (79.77 m). Bronze went to Italy’s Michele Fin (77.23).
In June, Felfner won the bronze medal at the 2023 European Games. The Ukrainian showed the result of 82.24 m.
This is the second medal of Ukraine at the European Youth Championships in Athletics. Ukrainian hammer thrower Mikhail Kokhan became the champion of the competition.
