Kharatin: I will not stay in Legia, now I am open to all offers

The Ukrainian is not satisfied with the current situation in the team

Midfielder of Legia Igor Kharatin said that he intends to leave the Polish club.

“Now I am looking for a new club. In Legia, I probably won’t stay for sure. The situation is quite complicated and there is little chance of changing anything.”

“The problem is not so much in the coach, but in changing the vector of leadership. Legia has gone through a massive makeover over the past few seasons. Played successfully. At some point, many players left the team – before the start of the 2021/22 season, a group of players arrived who had a good start in the Europa League with two wins over Leicester and Spartak. A recession followed in Ekstraklyas. The team did not pull the game on two fronts. A lot of problems started. One coach came, another, a third. No one could put together anything.”

“I respect my job, whether I play or not. I work at my best every day. I respect both the coaches and the team. We have been through a lot of good and bad things together. No matter what happens next, Legia is a special part of my life.”

“The club is looking for a solution with me and my agent. Legia is interested in having me on command. There are no specific options right now, it’s too early to talk about something. In the future, I may be able to tell you more. Now I am open to all offers.

Kharatin has been playing for Legia since the fall of 2021. The midfielder’s contract is calculated until the end of the 2023/24 season. Igor did not play in the 2023 Polish Super Cup match with Rakow, and is also not included in the Warsaw team’s squad for the 2023/24 season.

Legia will play their next match on July 21 against LKS Lodz in the first round of the Polish Championship.
