Joyce: Usyk will probably win, but Dubois has a chance to knock out Alexander

Joe hopes Daniel can bring the title to the UK

Former interim WBO heavyweight champion Joe Joyce commented on the upcoming fight between the WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk and mandatory challenger for the World Boxing Association Daniel Dubois.

“I think Daniel has a chance. Dubois hits really hard, but can he hit Usyk? Usyk can dance, move, beat him. I would love to see Dubois win and bring the title back to the UK so I can beat Daniel again and take the belt.”

“But yes, it is a very tough fight. I think Usyk will probably win. But Dubois has a knockout chance and he has a very strong punch. If he can land a few hits, he can make Usyk wobble all over the place.”

Joyce dated Dubois in November 2020. Joe won by knockout in the tenth round.

Usyk vs Dubois is officially announced for August 26th. The event will take place in Wroclaw, Poland, at the Tarczynski Arena. It was reported that Usyk will receive 75% of the total prize fund – $6 million. Dubois can count on 25% – 2 million.

Alexander in his last fight again defeated Briton Anthony Joshua, defending his belts. Dubois defeated Kevin Lerena by TKO in December and retained the status of the mandatory challenger for the WBA belt, owned by the Ukrainian.
