The 20-year-old Ivorian played in Bruges last season with Eduard Sobol
Strasbourg signed the 20-year-old central defender Brugge Abakara Silla.
The French club paid 20 million euros for the player. The Ivorian’s contract runs until the summer of 2028. Abacar will play in the Alsatian team at number 24.
Silla moved to the first team of Brugge from the youth squad last season. In the Belgian team, the defender played together with the Ukrainians Eduard Sobol and Roman Yaremchuk. Recall that Sobol moved to Strasbourg in January.
Earlier, the Alsatians announced the appointment of Patrick Vieira as head coach of the team. The French specialist signed a three-year contract with the Ligue 1 club.
In the first round of the new Ligue 1 draw, Strasbourg will play with Lyon. The base date for the fight is August 13th.
