Messi: Happy to start the next step in my career and build a new project with Inter Miami

The Argentine officially became a player of the MLS club

Seven-time Ballon d’Or winner Lionel Messi commented on his transition to Inter Miami.

“I am very excited to start the next step in my career at Inter Miami and in the United States. This is a fantastic opportunity and together we will continue to build this wonderful project. The idea is to work together to achieve the set goals. I really want to start helping here in my new home as soon as possible.”

Messi joined Inter as a free agent. In June, the 36-year-old forward left PSG, where he spent two seasons and won three trophies.

The Ukrainian defender Sergey Krivtsov plays in Miami. Inter is owned by David Beckham, a former Manchester United, Real Madrid, Milan, PSG and England player.

Inter Miami closes the standings of the MLS Eastern Conference with 18 points. Kryvtsov’s team lost devastatingly to St. Louis and cannot win the championship for 11 fights in a row. Messi’s debut at Inter is scheduled in the group stage match of the League Cup against the Mexican Cruz Azul on the night of July 21-22.
