Russian Skateboarding Federation Vice-President Irina Neuimina said that “Street Games MATCH!” are a platform for the boldest experiments and an opportunity to implement new formats.

“Street Games MATCH!” will end in Kazan on July 16.

— Do you feel that the Street Games project has developed well in four years?

– Feel. And we are not indifferent guests, we are developing this event together. I am constantly in contact with Bulat Gabdrakhmanov and Airat Akhmerov. Every year we organize meetings on what we can do interesting next year. I want to say a big thank you guys.

This platform is for us an ideal opportunity for the most daring experiments. At “Street Games”, we can perform talent screening and evaluation. Previously, the RFSO Lokomotiv Championship was held here, and here we brought the best guys, parents and coaches based on the results of Internet selection to meet here in Kazan and see which discipline in which cities is developing best.

During the four years of the Street Games, we see a community forming that comes year after year to Kazan. There are those who came here from the age of 6-7, and now it is already 10-year-old athletes who represent teams from their regions at the Russian Championship.

What other decisions do you expect from the international federation?

– The same as all our sports. In the current situation, we are not giving up. Yesterday we had a phygital skate competition. It was very interesting to do. We got a lot of positive feedback from the guys on the format, it’s lightweight and looks interesting. Even foreign athletes agreed to participate because they liked everything. It has come and, I think, will grow. Yes, we are not yet able to fully participate in international competitions, but we are developing in another direction, which can become our distinctive feature.
