Strycova and Shuwei win women’s doubles at Wimbledon 2023

Barbora and Xie Win Second Grass Major Title Together

Czekh Barbora Strytsova And Xie Shuwei from Chinese Taipei became champions Wimbledon 2023 in women’s doubles.

In the final, Strytsova and Shuwei defeated third seeded Australian Storm Hunter and Belgian Elise Mertens – 7:5, 6:4.

Strycova and Shuwei won their second joint title at Wimbledon. They previously triumphed at the Grass Major in 2019.

Shuwei, 37, won her second Grand Slam title in 2023. Xie and China’s Wang Xin Yu won the Roland Garros doubles tournament in June.

In total, Shuwei has six Grand Slam trophies. Strytsova, 37, has won two career Grand Slam titles.

The 2023 Wimbledon men’s and women’s singles winners are Carlos Alcaraz and Marketa Vondrousova, respectively. Ukraine’s Ludmila Kichenok and Croatia’s Mate Pavic won the mixed doubles, while Wesley Koolhof from the Netherlands and Neil Skupsky from Britain triumphed in the men’s doubles.
