Ukrainian is the favorite of the upcoming fight
Former WBC heavyweight title challenger Gerald Washington commented on the upcoming fight between the WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk and mandatory challenger for the World Boxing Association Daniel Dubois.
“Whoever is harder to hit wins. It’s not about who hits harder. Everyone is big and strong, everyone can hit hard.”
“Usyk has everything. Usyk will get everything he aspires to and I see that he will achieve his goal. I think he can knock out Dubois.”
Usyk vs Dubois is officially announced for August 26th. The event will take place in Wroclaw, Poland, at the Tarczynski Arena. It was reported that Usyk will receive 75% of the total prize fund – $6 million. Dubois can count on 25% – 2 million.
Alexander in his last fight again defeated Briton Anthony Joshua, defending his belts. Dubois defeated Kevin Lerena by TKO in December and retained the status of the mandatory challenger for the WBA belt, owned by the Ukrainian.
