“Rudkovskaya is always on fire with the process, personally takes care of the choice of music and costumes, comes up with elements” – figure skater Sobinina

Figure skater Taisiya Sobinina told that Yana Rudkovskaya was directly involved in directing her show with Yevgeny Plushenko and also explained how pair skating is developing at the Angela Plushenko Academy.

The pair skating group led by Arina Ushakova opened at the Angela Plushenko Academy in the spring of 2022.

Last season, Sobinina studied at the Angela Plushenko Academy with Ilya Mironov and previously played with Sergei Bakhmat and Nikita Volodin. At the end of June, the figure skater joined forces with Denis Khodykin in Sergei Roslyakov’s group.

Tell us about the atmosphere at the academy.

– Our pair skating group received a lot of attention. This species had just begun to develop there, and Evgeny Viktorovich caught fire when Arina Andreevna got to work. Many coaches were involved to help. For example, Sergey Alekseev, a former foster and, by the way, a student of Stanislav Morozov, worked with us, which is an indicator for me. Yerem Gazazyan helped get in shape, choreographer Alexei Zakharchenko staged programs and worked on his hands.

They also invited me to the show. Yana Alexandrovna [Рудковская] always informed by this process. She personally takes care of the choice of music and costumes, suggests elements, discusses each of her thoughts with the directors.

— What was Evgeni Plushenko’s role in your work?

– He often came to training, gave advice on jumping. Evgeny Viktorovich immediately informed everyone of the paired elements that he fully trusts the coaches of the group for training. And about the jump: “Contact you at any time.” Need extra ice – always welcome! I communicated well with Yulia Lipnitskaya and she left me on the ice with her group. We need to work on the salon – we go to Yerem, he sips, – Sobinina told .
