“Today we want to officially announce the end of our ice dancing career. We are proud of our accomplishments and cherish the memories. We are also extremely grateful for the opportunities that have shaped us today.

After years of commitment, hard work and countless hours of training, we have made the decision to retire. Despite the bittersweet feeling, we look forward to our future plans and what’s to come,” Gureyro wrote.

Zagorski hails from London, while Gureyro moved from Australia. Athletes have been playing for Russia since 2014. At the 2018 Olympics in Pyeongchang (South Korea), they took 13th place.
