Russian figure skaters Tiffany Zagorsky And Jonathan Gureiro who performed in ice dancing, decided to end his career, wrote Gureiro on the social network.
The duo of Zagorski and Gureiro in the 2020/21 season took second place in the Russian championship. The athletes are also two-time winners of the Russian Cup.
— Today we want to officially announce the end of our competitive career as ice dancers.
We are proud of our accomplishments and cherish all the memories. We are also extremely grateful for the opportunities that have helped us become who we are today.
After years of dedication, hard work and countless hours of training, we have made the decision to retire from the sport. Despite the bittersweet feeling, we look forward to future plans and what lies ahead.
Making the decision to conclude this chapter also means recognizing that throughout our journey, we have received the support of our coaches, our family, our friends, our fans and our teammates.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all of you for the support you have given us over the years. This part of our life will stay with us forever. Thank you,” Gureiro wrote.
