Guberniev commented on this statement with doubts, demanding to clarify what she meant by “nominally”. He asked if Isinbayeva was a nominal officer, if she received nominal salary and benefits, or if it was all just a formality.
The commentator also expressed interest in the opinion of the military unit she represented. If Isinbayeva acts in the IOC not nominally, but as a true representative of the Russian Federation, then her return to work will be considered useful. However, if it remains nominal, it raises more questions and uncertainties.
