Davis and Smolkin have independently compensated CSP for the costs of their training, FFKKR reported.

In June, the Georgian Figure Skating Federation confirmed that Russian silver medalists Davis and Smolkin will represent the Georgian national team from the 2023/24 season. At the end of June, the CSP sent an official request to the FFKKR regarding the transfer of the athletes. Based on the federation’s response, the CSP demanded compensation. Georgy Bryusov, director of the CSP, said on Tuesday that the FFKKR transfers funds spent on training figure skaters to the organization.
