Head of 2024 Olympics Organizing Committee on Games preparations: ‘We are on the right track, I wouldn’t change a single decision’

The head of the Paris Olympics organizing committee, Tony Estanguet, said preparations for the Olympics were going according to plan, noting that the organizing committee would not change a single decision made earlier.

Paris won the right to host the Games during the IOC session in September 2017.

“We get a lot of criticism, but if you look back you’ll see that we’re on schedule and our mission has expanded from what was at the application stage. We are ready, we are on the right track. Therefore, I would not change a single decision we have made so far. I am not afraid that the transport system will encounter serious difficulties, — quotes the words of Estange Insidethegames.

In June, it was reported that the French financial prosecutor’s office had carried out searches at the headquarters of the Games organizing committee.

— We are cooperating. National prosecutors need to have access to various information, and we pass it on. I have no further comments on this subject, because we have nothing more to tell you, — said Estangue.

The Olympic Games in the French capital will take place from July 26 to August 11, 2024.
