The president Kryvbas Konstantin Karamanits commented on the appointment to the post of head coach of the team Yuri Vernidub. According to him, the ex-mentor of Dawn and Sheriff is an ideal option for this position.
“Apparently, in the current situation, this is the ideal variant of the head coach in every sense. His experience is exactly what Kryvbas needs now, and his civic position is fully consistent with ours. And although our cooperation with Yuri Nikolayevich, as with a coach, begins only today, our interaction at the front began almost from the first days of the war.
It so happened that he defended the country in the Krivoy Rog direction: probably, this is also symbolic. I promise that together we will continue to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine until our victory over the Russian aggressor,” Karamanits said.

At the helm of Kryvbas, Vernydub replaced Oleksandr Babich, under whose leadership the Kryvyi Rih team reached the Ukrainian Premier League following the results of the last season.
In February, Vernydub returned to Ukraine and joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine amid a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukrainian territories.
