Kohan won the international tournament in Hungary and qualified for the 2004 Olympics

The Ukrainian hammer thrower performed at his first commercial start since March and immediately achieved an outstanding result

Ukrainian hammer thrower Mikhail Kokhan became the winner of the competitions of the golden series of the World Continental Tour, held in Hungary, updating the personal record of the season and winning a license for the 2004 Olympics. This license was the fourth for Ukrina in athletics.

Already on the first attempt, Kohan improved his personal record, shown earlier at the U-23 European Championship. On the fourth and fifth attempts, he again improved his performance, bringing them to 79.37 m. His final advantage over the Pole Nowitzki, who won the silver medal, was almost one and a half meters.

At the recent European Championships in Espoo, Finland, 22-year-old Kohan also won a gold medal. He managed to defend the title won in 2021.

Earlier, the Ukrainian won the youth championship of the European Cup-2023 in throwing disciplines. Kohan also won a silver medal at the 2023 European Games.
