Athletistic/ Figure Skating. USSR Honored Coach Tatyana Tarasova has commented on the news that the Sports Training Center (TSSP) received money after Diana Davis and Gleb Smolkin changed their nationalities.
Now the duo will play for the Georgian national team.
“They are the first in the world to pay. Nobody paid before them. I don’t know if it’s true or not, but it’s strange,” Tarasova told SE.
At the moment, Russian skaters are suspended from international tournaments. Consequently, many athletes change nationality to compete.
