Prometheus men’s and women’s teams will play in the Champions League
Ukrainian volleyball clubs got rivals in European Cup tournaments. Ukraine will be represented by five teams in the European arena.
Prometheus men’s team will participate for the first time in Champions League. In the first round of qualification Andrey Levchenko’s team got into the group with Sastamala (Finland), Hipo Tyrol (Austria) and Dynamo Apeldoorn (Netherlands).
The top two teams in the group will advance to the next round of Champions League qualification.
Prometheus women’s team will start performing at Champions League right from the group stage. Ivan Petkov’s team will play in Group E with LKS Lodz (Poland), Volero Le Cannet (France) and the finalist of the second round of qualification.
In the previous edition of the Women’s Champions League, Prometheus finished bottom of the group with one win in six matches.
In the 1/32 finals of the men’s CEV Cup two representatives of Ukraine will play: Epicenter-Podoliany will meet with Decospan Menen from Belgium, Zhitichi will play with the Serbian Vojvodina. Matches will be held October 24-26 and October 31-November 2.
In the women’s Challenge Cup will play Balta. In the 1/32 finals, the Ukrainian team will play with Azerrail from Azerbaijan. The first match will take place on October 10-12, the second leg – on October 17-19.
According to the results of the 2022/23 season, the Prometheus teams became the winners of the men’s and women’s volleyball championships of Ukraine.
