Athletistic/ Others. The International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) has decided to allow Russians to participate in tournaments under its auspices in a neutral status.
“The Executive Committee has decided to allow, under strict conditions, the participation of athletes and personnel from Russia and Belarus in FIG-sanctioned events listed on the FIG calendar as individual neutral athletes,” the organization said in a press release.
The representatives of Russia and Belarus have been suspended by the FIG since March 2022.
Earlier it became known that the IOC in October 2023 may consider the issue of the participation of Russian athletes in the 2024 Olympics in Paris (France) in a neutral status.
