Mitrovic pulls out of playing for Fulham Club rejects request to sell player to Al Hilal

Serb insists on transfer

Forward Aleksandar Mitrovic refuses to speak up Fulham.

The Serb is unhappy with the club’s refusal to move to Al-Hilal. The club from Saudi Arabia offered 25.5 million pounds for Mitrovic, but the Dachnikov management blocked the deal.

Because of this decision, the striker told his relatives that he would not play for Fulham and insisted on a transfer. Mitrovic also planned to boycott Fulham’s pre-season training camp, but after the intervention of an agent, he joined the team.

Mitrovic has been with Fulham since 2018. The 28-year-old forward made 28 appearances in all competitions last season, scoring 15 goals and providing four assists. His contract with the Summer Residents runs until the summer of 2026.

Wolverhampton midfielder Ruben Neves and defender Kalidou Koulibaly moved to Al-Hilal. The club also signed Lazio midfielder Sergei Milinkovic-Savic. The new head coach of the team was the Portuguese specialist Jorge Jesus.

Al-Hilal finished in third place in the Saudi Arabian Pro League standings. Fulham finished 10th in the Premier League last season.
