Olympic figure skating champion Roman Kostomarov said he was adjusting to a new life under certain conditions, noting to move on and not give up.
Kostomarov was hospitalized in January this year, since then the 46-year-old figure skater has been under medical supervision and has suffered several amputations. In early July, Kostomarov announced that he was discharged from hospital.
“Well, here we are. We are adjusting to a new life. Of course, all this is not at all easy. Sometimes we want to return everything, but we understand that this is impossible. What to do – we are placed in such conditions today. But we have to go further. Like in sports: to fight and never give up. Thank God, thanks to my beloved wife, we are able to cope even with such difficulties.
We wish you love, health and all the best! And thank you to everyone who supports and helps. Pursue! — wrote Kostomarov on the social network.
Kostomarov, paired with Tatyana Navka, won gold at the 2006 Olympic Games in Turin in ice dancing. In addition, the duo won twice at the world championships, three times at the European championships.
